Microbiology Department
Immediate Start based in London
Hours: Shift Rota - including nights and weekends.
Pay: Competitive Hourly rates

Experience: 2 years Laboratory experience post HPC registration

Routine Bacteriology.

*Wounds/Swabs Isolation and identification of significant pathogens including anaerobes in various swab specimens, such as Wounds (clean & dirty sites), Abscess, Pus, pernasal, perianal, Eyes, Ears, Throat etc.
*GUMS:: Isolation and sensitivities of Neisserria gonorrhea and Candida from GUM specimens.
*HVS: Isolation of significant organisms, with particular reference to Group B Streptococci in pregnant women
*MRSA/Resistant Screen:: Isolation of MRSA, Gent resistant Coliforms & Vanc resistant Enterococci
*VITEK Identification and Antimicrobial sensitivities for Gram negatives, gram positives and yeasts.
