My Client is an established Palliative Care Hospice in Windsor, Maidenhead. They manage an inpatient unit of 18 beds with a Daycare centre and a Hospice at Home Service.

You will join a team of Medical and Nursing Professionals, dedicated to help people live the best possible life they can right to the very end.

We are recruiting on their behalf for a suitably qualified General Practitioner to help on a Sessional basis. Applicants must have some Palliative Care expereince.

You will support the existing team to complete medical assessments, implement care plans, review medications and manage Pain Relief. In your capacity as Senior Medical Professional, you will use effective communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure consistently high standards and safe patient care.

The Locum will work on a sessional basis, 0900 - 1230 and 1330 - 1700, Monday to Friday. There is no on-call and no requirement for visits. Although my Client is looking for up to 35 hours per week, they will accommodate any availability you can offer. The Locum is expected to last August 2012.

The role commences ASAP after a brief meeting with the Hospice Management. The Clinical system here is Multi Care and training will be provided.

It is essential that you have:
Full GMC Registration with a License to Practice and Inclusion on the GP Register
Inclusion on a PCT Medical Performers List
Medical Indemnity Cover
An Enhanced CRB disclosure no older than 3 years
Minimum 3 years post registration experience
Excellent Communication Skills

Experience of working and/or training in Palliative Medicine is essential. Rates of Pay will be circa £60.00 per hour or £420 per 7-hour day.
