*NEW* LTE Physical Layer Software Engineer: Contract

My client is offering a hands-on development role working in the team involved in the design and development of Platform Group PHY software.

Duties and Responsibilities of the LTE Physical Layer Software Engineer;
- Development in Embedded 'VHDL/DSP/C/C++'
- Development of LTE PHY Development and integration test of the lower level software
- Analysis of LTE/3G specifications
- Work within the software development methodology used in the Platform Group

Essential skills required from the LTE Physical Layer Software Engineer;

- Very good mathematical background
- 5 years commercial full-life cycle software development experience
- Development experience with DSPs
- Embedded software development experience
- Practical experience with, and knowledge of, the LTE or 3G Layer1 interface
- Experience in developing complex, numerically-oriented algorithms and systems in either VHDL and/or on a modern DSP
- Knowledge/familiarity with radio telecommunications standard (such as LTE, W-CDMA, WiMAX etc) Experience with standard code management and defect tracking tools
- Proven track record of expertise in large, complex low level Real Time software systems
