Job Description
Local authority year end closedown including specifically collection fund.
Managing a team of 4 staff delivering bank reconciliation, final accounts quality assurance, working papers, company evaluation, etc.
Including management of task delivery and performance management.
Overseeing preparation and publication of the Budget Book.
Ensuring financial and statistical returns are delivered accurately and on time.
Participation in process improvement work

AAT Qualified or Equivalent
Experience of Local Government Closedown under IFRS rules - Experience in IFRS is ESSENTIAL
Experience of completing collection fund year end working papers
Ability to interpret and build complex spreadsheet models
Numerate and analytical with the ability to interpret, present or write complex financial reports capable of being understood by a wide range of people.
Extensive spreadsheet, word-processing and personal computing skills Experience of managing projects to tight timescales
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Extensive financial modelling experience.
Ability to manage using objectives, targets, performance management, problem solving and project management Customer Focus
Knowledge and understanding of equality issues and legislation.
