Upcoming conference a chance to 'promote flexible staffing'

An upcoming conference may provide more job opportunities for IT contractors as employers learn how to organise temporary and contract workers, a leading recruitment group claims.
The Managing a Temporary Workforce conference takes place on April 29th and the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) will be giving the key note speech to attending companies.
In the past few weeks, the REC have repeatedly championed the strategic use of contractors and temporary staff for businesses coming out of recession, as well as explaining how they should form part of long-term planning in the public sector.
This conference will now give the REC the opportunity to get this message directly to employers, the group claims.
"Flexible staffing arrangements are part of the solution in terms of developing effective resourcing strategies and maintaining front line delivery of services," said Tom Hadley, the REC's director of external relations.
Other speakers at the event include the British Chambers of Commerce and leading employment lawyers.
