UK government 'will outsource'

More opportunities could arise for contractors within the UK government, one expert has indicated, saying that the administration is likely to turn to outsourcing.
Recruiting company Hays has said that the government will begin outsourcing in order to cut expenditure.
Mark Staniland from the company advised that workers make an effort to stand out from the crowd with determination and a solid understanding of skill transfer.
"The UK government will increase levels of outsourcing and candidates experience and understanding of the public sector should be turned to their advantage – such as policy delivery, regulatory procedures and the workings of government," he added.
Meanwhile, the Office for National Statistics has found that public sector employment decreased by 45,000 in the fourth quarter of 2010.
However, levels of employment in the private sector were found to rise by 77,000 during the same period.
