Smartphone bugs 'set to become more prevalent'
IT contractors who are beginning to rely upon smartphones for their business activities have been warned that an increase in system bugs is "inevitable".

According to BroadbandGenie.co.uk, as smartphones develop in complexity, the capacity for bugs to appear in the operating system also increases.

Google recently announced that it is to fix a bug in its Android software that meant users were sending text messages to the wrong people, causing aggravation for many customers.

BroadbandGenie.co.uk tech expert Matt Powell insists that IT contractors and other smartphone users are just going to have to accept the presence of bugs and instead try to limit the impact they have on their working practices.

Mr Powell also highlighted potential problems with downloading patch fixes to their handsets.

"Users should consider if they want to take the chance of voiding their warranty or whether they would like to spend the time restoring their phone if something goes wrong," he explained.
