SaaS up-take 'will see a significant rise'

IT contractors could see a rise in the number of firms switching to Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
According to SaaS innovator Natterbox, there will be sharp rise in up-take of hosted services, as companies are encouraged by the low cost and offer of tangible solutions to their problems.
Natterbox says that firms are just beginning to realise that SaaS will also offer them more added-value features and greater resilience.
"Our Voice SaaS can create a huge impact for smaller operators in the sense that they can quickly and cost-effectively get access to telecoms systems that will put them into a whole new league of professionalism and smart technology," said Natterbox chief executive officer Neil Hammerton.
Natterbox can use SaaS technology to deliver services such as hosted BPX, sip trunking, call recording and disaster protection.
According to the chief executive officer of Centrix Software Lisa Hammond, UK firms are really struggling to get a grip on efficiency in their IT processes.
