Opportunities increase for IT contractors in Ireland
The latest Morgan McKinley Irish Employment Monitor suggests that there has been a rise in demand for IT contractors and other professionals in Ireland.

Covering the month of October, the report found that there was a 44 per cent increase in the number of opportunities for professionals compared with the same month in the previous year.

Brian Murphy, chief executive officer of Premier Group Ireland, said recruitment levels in the IT and pharmaceutical sectors "held up well" throughout October, with many new positions being created by multinational firms.

"Demand for IT professionals with software development skills in Java and .Net continued and we saw increased activity in the IT contractor market, with many companies looking to these professionals to provide them with flexible staffing solutions," he commented.

The latest KPMG/Recruitment and Employment Confederation Report on Jobs also indicated positive news for IT contractors, with rises in both permanent positions and temporary places.ADNFCR-2994-ID-800280434-ADNFCR
