IT staff 'still split' over cloud computing
The future of cloud computing remains uncertain as IT staff and IT contractors differ in their views on virtualised storage.

According to research from the analyst Dynamic Markets, 37 per cent of the more than 600 IT workers surveyed felt that cloud computing will not work unless the big corporations embrace it fully, V3.co.uk reports.

However, 33 per cent felt it would be the way forward regardless, while 14 per cent are dismissing it as a passing fad.

Katherine Broderick, research analyst at the International Data Corporation, told the news provider that many companies are considering switching to virtualised data storage.

She added: "However, there is lingering apprehension over issues such as integration, availability, security and costs.

"These concerns will continue to guide the adoption of cloud computing over the next few years."

The International Data Corporation recently revealed that many UK companies will have their IT problems solved by using a public cloud computing network. ADNFCR-2994-ID-800038137-ADNFCR
