IT 'leading way out of recession'
IT contractors and other who work in the field are leading the way out of the recession, according to one expert.

Dan Hawes, co-founder of Graduate Recruitment Bureau, said some sectors are recovering better than others such as the public sector.

"There are certain sectors leading the way, like financial services, investment banking and the like. IT, retail and FMCG [fast-moving consumer goods] are all areas we're very busy with at the moment. We are leaving the recession behind us and we are slowly noticing growth in different areas," he said.

This comes after the REC's latest JobsOutlook said that 32 per cent of employers are planning to expand their agency workforce over the next year, with just under one in five preparing to do so in the next three months.

In addition, employers are planning on growing thing their permanent workforce during 2011 but are cautious going into the year.
