IT contractors 'will not be working on augmented reality for now'
Despite the growing popularity of augmented reality, IT contractors are unlikely to be called into companies to install the technology for a couple of years.

Kieran Alger, web editor of T3.com, claimed that these technologies are a "rising star" for the industry that will be worth keeping an eye on.

He highlighted Wallpaper's iPhone guide to London and a recent issue of Esquire that utilised these advances to good effect as a sign that more sectors are incorporating augmented reality.

Despite this, he said that it will take some time for an industry standard to be agreed that will help developers and IT contractors to work on complimentary applications.

Mr Alger asserted: "Business adoption could take a couple of years as consumers are not fully sold on augmented reality yet and the risk is still high."

A recent report by Juniper Research predicted that annual revenue from augmented reality-enabled apps will reach $732 million (£449 million) in 2014.ADNFCR-2994-ID-19561277-ADNFCR
