IT contractor recruiter reliability 'highlighted by court case'
The importance of using a reputable IT contractor recruiter has been highlighted by a recent court case.

Action taken by the Employment Agency Standards inspectorate against an HGV recruitment company has been highlighted by the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) as an example of the importance of using legitimate agencies.

Fola Tayo, head of professional standards at the REC, has emphasised the fact that the minority of providers who flout regulations are held to account.

He stated: "This case is useful reminder of the need for recruitment agencies to be fully aware of their regulatory obligations and to strive for the highest levels of compliance."

Mr Tayo added that huge progress is being made with raising the bar for professional standards by a number of its campaigns.

Kevin Green, REC chief executive, recently claimed that IT contractors are set to benefit from falling unemployment figures.

He said that recent Office for National Statistics data showed that the number of people finding work through agencies is on the rise.ADNFCR-2994-ID-19630043-ADNFCR
