IT contractor job opportunities 'on the rise'

IT contractors looking for work have been told that they can look forward to improved job opportunities in 2010 and beyond despite seeing a dearth of prospects throughout much of 2009, if the results of a new report are to be believed.
According to recruitment specialist Adecco, demand for IT contractors fluent in Tibco, Bluetooth and RDBMS is on the increase this year, although those with only a knowledge of Exchange, Prince and Windows 2000 may see a reduction in the demand for their services.
"It's almost certain that the worst is now behind us and that, after battering down the hatches in 2009, [IT] contractors can look forward to a better 2010 and 2011," the authors of the report stated.
Earlier this year, Adecco said that with a number of industries reporting signs of recovery in their respective businesses, job opportunities are likely to surge across a variety of sectors.
