iPhone app to help IT contractors utilise Twitter

A new iPhone application will enable IT contractors without Twitter accounts to make use of the Tweetjobs service.
Former recruiter Nick Burns designed the app to help with client and candidate management and has explained to Recruiter how easy it is to use.
He told the magazine: "Should a job be of interest the user can respond via email from within the app."
Twitter and other social networking sites are becoming increasingly popular tools for IT contractors, freelancers and even businesses to advertise their services.
Mr Burns' comments follow the publication of the MailGuard DataCurve report, which suggested that allowing employees to access social networks such as Twitter and Facebook can provide "tremendous value" to a business.
MailGuard chief executive Craig McDonald indicated that it has the potential boost business prospects as well as employee morale and "significantly benefit both parties".
The research suggested that a fifth of employees visit upwards of 200 sites per month using their work internet account.
