Graduates' job market 'improving'
The jobs market for IT graduates is gaining momentum, according to one recruitment agency.

Dan Hawes, co-founder of Graduate Recruitment Bureau, said that the market did well during the economic crisis and is now seeing further improvements, reports umbrella contracting website Parasol.

His comments follow news that leading graduate IT employer FDM Group is set to double its intake to 1,000 during the next year.

Mr Hawes said that a positive message needs to be conveyed to job seekers that there are jobs on the market in order to motivate the unemployed searching for jobs.

"The fact that FDM Group is employing more indicates that things are picking up; that would be indicative of an upturn in IT placements and graduates," he said.

This comes after news that a job increase in the private sector could balance out the government's public sector job cuts.
