Government 'must encourage green tech'

The government must offer better incentives so that contractors and other professionals will adapt green technology, according to new research.
Contractors and other professionals should be given more incentives to adapt to green technology, according to one expert.
A survey by Greenbang.com has stated that just 13 per cent of businesses believe the government will establish the right conditions for a successful clean tech sector during 2011.
This is compared to 38 per cent who believed they would achieve this during August and October 2010.
It was also revealed that the number of who people now believe that the investment in green energy and technology will increase in 2011 compared to 2010, has dropped by ten per cent since the original survey.
Dan Ilett, editor in chief of the website, said: "There most certainly do need to be more incentives for people to buy from and invest in those businesses, and there does need to be a little more help with the companies that are building and providing those solutions."
