Contractors 'will use more smartphones'

Usage of smartphones will gradually increase among contractors and other professionals as they realise how useful the devices can be, one expert has said.
Paul Daley, director of HR consulting and services at Ochre House, said that more as more jobs are advertised online, an increasing number of people will use smartphones for job hunting.
He added that the ubiquity of smartphones is set to increase exponentially over the next few years, making it a much more accessible technology.
"With the mobile web, you can just as easily transact with those companies and apply for jobs through that medium as well - it makes it even easier," he said.
"It's much more user-friendly than having to actually actively sit down at a desktop to look for a job."
This comes after the Monster Employment Index UK reported a 15 per cent rise in online job demand in the past year.
