Contractors should 'act like their clients'

One of the most obvious reasons people decide to become contractors is because it allows them to do work they love.
So, one of the most important things for freelancers is to make sure they are doing work they enjoy and working for clients they want to.
With this in mind, expert Amber Weinberg has offered some tips on Freelance Folder to help contractors secure their target clients and do not end up working for just anyone.
Firstly, she says, the contractor must identify their target client, taking factors such as size, money and type of work into consideration.
Next, the contractor must attract the client and Ms Weinberg says that acting in a similar manner to the client can help with this, for example, if they are particularly professional, do not be casual with them.
This comes after Maggie Berry, managing director of Women in Technology, said that finding a candidate with the correct calibre of skills can sometimes be a challenge, meaning that there is a place for more highly skilled IT contractors in the jobs market.
