Contracting technology: Entry level smartphones 'lead to iPhones'

Contractors who have opted for entry-level smartphones may soon posses their very first iPhone, one expert has suggested.
Heather Mclean, editor at Mobile Business said that purchasing an entry level smartphone is "like a first step on the ladder" to buying an iPhone.
She said that the phones produced by companies such as HTC, LG and Samsung are designed to be easier to afford than high-end devices.
"These are aimed at people looking to migrate from a nice feature phone to something better that they can access more data stuff on," added Ms Mclean.
This comes after research found that 71 per cent of businesses are eager to capitalise on social media such as LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook to improve their online presence.
Companies who choose to do so may often turn to short-term staff to set them up, increasing opportunities for IT contractors.
