Cloud computing IT contractor recruitment 'to jump 233%'

The recruitment rate for IT contractors with a specialisation in cloud computing is set to jump by 233 per cent in the next 12 months, new figures have suggested.
Resources On Demand has claimed that the number of new positions for these staff members has leapt up in the last few weeks.
Lee Durrant, managing director for the company, asserted that cloud computing is no longer just a buzzword but has become a model with a strong business case.
He stated: "Organisations are seeing both economic and sound operational reasons to use cloud technology. This appealed to organisations during the recession due to value for money paired with an increased level of performance."
Mr Durrant said that these factors will continue to be relevant after the end of the downturn, suggesting that this model will continue to be rolled out.
Earlier this month, Analysys Mason partner Matt Yardley claimed that improving broadband speeds will contribute to the growth of cloud computing.
