Changes in immigration 'positive for contractors'

The PCG has welcomed new rules for migrant workers to prevent the undercutting of British contractors.
Home secretary Theresa May is expected to announce full details of the government's new immigration policy this afternoon (November 23rd).
The announcement is expected to introduce radical changes to the rules on intra-company transfers (ICTs) to say that workers on permits must earn over £40,000 to be exempt from the government's immigration cap.
PCG has been campaigning on this issue for many years and is understandably pleased about the prospect of change.
Head of public affairs for PCG Simon McVicker said that he is glad the organisation is being listened to.
"The big abusers of ICT permits will not be in high spirits today, but for PCG on National Freelancers Day this represents the culmination of many years of work on this issue. We await more details but for now this is news to be warmly welcomed and strongly supported," he said.
